Our client is currently looking for an IBM DB2 Expert (m/f) for a project in Munich.Project Description:
* Assessment of requirements and specific application needs for the setup of DB2 on Linux
* Design/Configuration of the DB2 Setup (Server, Storage, Network, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance, etc.)
* Measurement of Performance und identification of bottlenecks, plus tuning of DB2 and Server/Storage (in cooperation with Linux and Storage Administrators)
* Optional: Mapping of DB2 Mainframe (z/OS) performance and SQL to DB2 on Linux
* Documentation
* Setup of DB2 on Linux with the suggested configuration
* Benchmarking of the Application against DB2 on Linux and Performance Measurement and Tuning to achieved defined performance criteria
Required skills:
* Experience in DB2 Linux setup, configuration and tuning (beneficial: certification on DB2)
* Enterprise Storage and Network knowledge (from server/DB2 viewpoint)
* Knowledge of database workload and Linux configuration for application workload
* Experience in DB2 on Linux resource management (CPU, Memory, I/O) and resource usage measurement
* Experience in DB2 on Linux performance tuning (CPU, Memory, I/O) for database and application workload
* Experience in DB2 SQL analysis (for performance and resource usage) and tuning of SQL with usage of DB2 tooling
* Experience in DB2 Stored Procedures on Linux
Required languages: English Technical writing skills, German beneficial
Location: Initial meetings in Munich, mainly remote work
