Oracle SQL / Visual Basic Developer for Scale MES / Production Process Manufacturing

For our customer, a globally active producer of consumer goods we are looking for an Oracle SQL and Visual Basic / VB.Net Developer to undertake ongoing support and further development of MES, Production and Monitoring and Control Systems; developed in Oracle SQL and Visual Basic / VB.Net . The employment contract will be made on an ANÜ Basis with an initial term of 12 months (extendable by mutual consent). Most of the work will be carried out in Mannheim but there could be some project related travel from time to time.

Erforderlich:
Strong experience in maintaining and developing Oracle SQL and Visual Basic / VB.Net written applications in a Manufacturing / Production and / or Monitoring & Control system environment. University Degree or Equivalent professional qulaifications and experience. Good communication skills and team work. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Solution orientated thinking is very important to have. You should be fluent in both English and German Languages.

Wünschenswert:
Experience of any Standard MES Systems like Oracle MES for Process Manufacturing or GE Proficy would be nice to have but not essential. Experience of SCADA applications. Additional European Languages.

Project Positives:
It is possible that the contract will be extended for an additional period and in certain cirumstances our client may wish to take the person into direct employment but of course we cannot guarantee that this will be the case.
