for a Business Test Manager in the Investment Products and Services environment


Project environment

In the Investment Products and Services / Business Risk and Regulatory Management environment of a global Swiss bank

Tasks

• Prepare Testing; create and implement Test Concept comprising of:
• Test objects
• Test environments
• International Scope/Locations
• Test windows incl. planned downtimes
• Roles & Responsibilities
• Communication concept
• Liaison with IT Test Manager, Business Testers, and with representatives (Business and IT) of applications required for e2e testing
• Execute Test Readyness Check
• Test data availablility
• In cooperation with IT Testmanager, manage Test Execution
• Ensure Testmeetings are prepared (test results documented properly, reports are available)
• Ensure Testmeetings are conducted properly (all tasks assigned, no task forgotten)
• Ensure proper status trecking
• Implement Continuous Improvement Topics derived from:
• from lessons learned
• own observations
• Manage overlapping test phases properly
• Optional: Quality Assurance (review test cases against requirements)

Technical skills

• General knowledge about software development and test management
• planning and management skills
• knowledge of the domain, system or application-under-test (Business Rule System)
• Knowledge of test management tool (HP Quality Center)

Soft skills

• leadership skills; self-going
• people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills
• communication skills (deal with resistance, communicate in a language understandable by a business audience)
• English and German
