To support a customer project, we are looking for a Test Engineer for Mobile Communication Test Equipment (m/f) featuring the below stated skills and experience:Your Tasks:
- Software tester in system integration team
- Performing LTE, WCDMA, GSM protocol, endurance and performance test cases with latest multimode LTE devices
- Analyzing and reporting test results to system integration teams and core development teams
- Maintaining pool of LTE/WCDMA/GSM test devices incl. UE software tools
- Maintaining data base of test devices and device documentation
- Close cooperation and direct contact to LTE device vendors to obtain latest LTE test device software, submitting problem reports, etc.
- Performing test device firmware updates
- Supporting core development teams using LTE test devices from different vendors
- Test sessions with LTE device vendors to debug device issues
Your Qualification:
- A minimum of 4 year experience as a test engineer in mobile communications, ideally for GSM, WCDMA or LTE terminals
- Good knowledge of GSM, WCDMA or LTE mobile communications standard, preferably in 3GPP layer 1 # 3
- Basic programming skills (C / C++ / TTCN-2 / TTCN-3 / Scripting e.g. Python)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good team player used to work in multicultural project teams
Hardware / software used:
- IP-related tools like iperf, ftp, wireshark
- Various proprietary LTE device monitoring tools by device vendors
- Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2010 for test case development
- Rational ClearCase, Rational Team Concert (RTC), Bugzilla, MediaWiki, proprietary data bases for bugtracking and device management / documentation
- Microsoft office applications for general project documentation
Languages:
- Proficient English is indispensable
- German knowledge is nice to have
