Task:Design a solution to clearly and correctly identify systems connected to the corporate network of a globally distributed group of companies and to ensure that access is granted according to business need and in accordance with business processes.
Project Tasks:
During the Design phase, the following tasks will need to be conducted:
- Conduct an analysis of current industry best practices
- Create a high-level design for Network Device Identification in the new global infrastructure, including a time and cost estimate for detailed design, build, test, deployment and ongoing operations
- Conduct a design review workshop with the relevant stake holders
- Update the design and produce a detailed design to such a level that this may be handed over to the new IT infrastructure providers for implementation and operation"
Contractors Detailed Job Description*:
"Solution architect to write a technical design and implementation outline for a global, Network device Identification scheme which needs to include all three of the following aspects:
- Wired LAN Access
- Wireless LAN Access
- Remote (RAS) and Internet-based (VPN) Access
The solution should reflect current industry best practice but also needs to take into account the complexity of the Customer environment. Experience in the design and implementation of such solutions is therefore mandatory."

- Past experience in implementing projects of a similar scale
- Fluent technical English & German
