Within this project, a Business Library for External and Internal Documents (BLExID) will be implemented within the existing Document Management System (DMS, based on Documentum). This will cover document storage of all product related documents for internal and external use (e.g. technical information, brochures, certificates) based on globally harmonized attribution and classification. This will also support document revision based on OD specific rules. BLExID will create a single source for product literature, avoiding multiple versions of the same documents in different storage locations for different applications. Furthermore, the relevant documents are available for web, but also for other platforms and services (World Account, Global Product Finder). These documents will be maintained using the Global Maintenance Tool, which is being implemented in a separate project (). Usage of existing product information (PI) tools for EM and EN will continue, but integrated to transfer documents to BLExIDAnforderungen
