To support a customer project, we are looking for a SW Support Engineer featuring the below stated skills and experience:Job description:
Support of R&S customers for RRM test system related issues
Analysis of reported problems and discussion with R&D teams
To answer problem reports from customers and to track the issues
Qualification:
Master in communications engineering or equivalent course of studies
In order to be successful the candidate must have:
Strong communication skills to support customers and to work with internal R&D teams
Accurate and pro-active working style
RF and protocol knowledge for radio communication tester, in particular understanding of the 3GPP standardization and relevant specifications, e.g. 3GPP TS , and 3GPP TS 36.331
Very good English language skills in speaking and writing (good German language skills will be an advantage)
Ideally the candidate has programming skills (C/C++) to debug the reported issues in the source code and to fix small issues on her/his own
Customer on-site support and related travel activities might be necessary on request (the candidates citizenship should allow easy visa application on short notice, mainly for Western Europe, USA, China, India, Korea, Japan)
The candidate should be interested in a long term assignment (> 3-4 years) in Munich, Germany
In order to be successful the candidate may have knowledge about
LTE Layer1 and MAC/RLC layer
spectrum analyzers and how to use them for verification of power levels
