- The network engineer will analyze, design, test, and evaluate network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, and other data communications systems.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning using tools such as Splunk, Cacti, MARS and Cisco works.
- Utilizing tools, this position is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting issues on all aspects of systems and network hardware to include software support across IT locations and customer sites as required.
- Work with other engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicians and managers in the design, testing and evaluation of systems.
- The engineer may also research products, recommend software/hardware and point out security glitches.
- Consult with customers and conduct surveys to determine present and future user needs.

Essential Tasks:
1. Configure, install, monitor and support Cisco Switches and Routers / Nexus.
2. Configure, monitor and support Cisco FWSM, ASA, Citrix, F5 Big IP, SSL VPN, IPSEC VPN, ASDM and Cisco IDS/ IPS including MARS.
3. Work with virtualization technologies such as VMWARE for servers and desktops.
4. Configure, monitor and support F5, Big IP, GTM/LTM load balancers.
5. Assists with maintenance and formulation of standards and procedures.
6. Implements and manages the enterprise network including wide area, metropolitan area, local area, and value added components where applicable.
7. Consults and analyzes systems requirements in designing, testing and implementation of technical solutions to fulfill requirements.
8. Ability to lead or assist staff members in engineering design reviews; through peer review or detailed engineering documentation.
9. Perform problem definition activities, including feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis.
10. Maintains technical expertise in the rapidly changing technology of Network and Network security, utilizes state of the art techniques when implementing networked solutions.
11. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly status reports of assigned tasks and projects as needed.
12. Maintains close working relationship with Desktop support, Mainframe support, Unix Support, Help Desk and Operations group as well as other contacts within IT.
13. Fulfills department requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification when needed.
14. Assists with requests as needed and travel with minimum notice.
15. Seek feedback from engineer team on all engineer designs projects.
16. Other duties as assigned by management.
17. Available for on-call 24/7 rotation • College degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience required.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent experience required
• Experienced with Cisco Nexus 7000, 5000 and 2000 configuration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Valid passport and availability to travel internationality when necessary.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to insure timely resolution of problems.
• Must be available to work off-shift as required to perform maintenance or other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work in a team environment and also work independently, Participates in on-Call rotation.
• Experience with ASA firewalls, firewall modules and Internet VPN’s.
• Good understanding of SNMP tools such as CiscoWorks, MRTG, Netflow, Cacti and Splunk.
• Network Security experience in Cisco MARS, CiscoWorks NCM, WCS, LMS, and Cisco Secure ACS.
• Knowledge with Cisco UCS, fiber channels.
• Understands IPV4 addressing and sub netting, to include RFC 1918 addressing.
• In-depth protocol knowledge in the following, MPLS, GRE, QOS, HSRP, VRRP, and Routing protocols like BGP and EIGRP.
• Understands and configures external and internal facing DNS systems; including active directory and INFOBLOX.
• Experienced in wireless design of secure mobility and guest access technology, including Cisco Guest NAC appliance.
• Experience with remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution across multiple geographic locations, on low and high-speed terrestrial and satellite facilities, both inside and outside of the Seattle Metropolitan area.
• Working knowledge of voice communications and PBX and VOIP fundamentals including QOS, and POE.
• Understanding of optimization technologies, Riverbed desired.

• Hospitality industry experience is preferred
• Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches in a network-engineering role.
