for a Oracle Database Designer & Developer
Project environment
The IT organization "Credit Risk IT" of a Global Swiss Bank is seeking a Database Designer/Developer (Oracle) for several Credit Risk applications (so-called monitoring systems, calculators and others) in Switzerland.
As a member of the "Marts / Methodology Technology" team the contractor provides database services and components (Oracle) to several credit risk applications such as ZEUS (credit risk platform), NHCE (Lending value calculation, security shock calculation).
Tasks
As an Oracle designer / developer the contractor is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, test and 3rd level support of applications in the area of Credit Risk IT. The applications are based on the newest technologies in the areas of J2EE, Oracle and Unix (Sun Solaris).
Requirements
• University degree or longer professional experience (3-5 years)
• Experience in logical and physical data modelling
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
• Very good analytical and design skills and the ability to grasp complex business or technical issues in a structured and efficient manner
• Good experience with Tools such as Toad and Power Designer
• Skilled in tuning, debugging and troubleshooting of PL/SQL
• Experience in shell-scripting
• Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris)
• Knowledge of Job Control systems (JCS)
• Good knowledge of both written and spoken English (German desirable)
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• On- and offshore experiences highly desired
• Experience as DBA would be advantageous
• Experience in the area of credit risk management of advantage
