For one of our clients we are looking for Junior testerPreparation of the test strategy
- Extract Test Requirements from Use cases or Functional specifications.
- Ensure Test case coverage in alignment with Traceability Matrix.
- Design, Develop and review Test Cases and agreed / signed off in readiness for testing
- Prepare and share with the customer necessary test data requirements in due time for test execution
- Review of test data when delivered to ensure that it fits with test data criteria specified
- Sanity test SIT environment when ready and ensure SIT is ready for testing
- Attend scheduled defect calls if necessary.
- Test Planning and control of the Testing Process
- Ensure Test requirements sign-off by reviewing the coverage of the Traceability matrix
- Conduct or involve in review meetings with the designer, architect, business owner if any to clarify the requirement.
- Planning and co-ordination of test interfaces
- Ensure test data is provided on time for SIT and correction if any prior to SIT.
- Tracking of defects and ensuring fixed defects are re-tested timely and correct status assigned
- defect management, working closely with the delivery team to ensure resolutions to defects are delivered
- Ensure deliverables like Test exit report; test cases are up to date.
- Support Project Manager and status reporting including risk and dependency management
- Involve in Release management by providing the Release notes, verifying the release contents to UAT, manage retesting of fixed defects etc.
- Involve in UAT support by providing logs, detailed information on project, change requests etc.
- Attending regular UAT defect review meetings
Nice to have:
Some background in test driven approach and risk based testing would be a good advantage.
Use of JIRA, Clearquest tools an advantage
