CLOUD SERVICE MANAGER

GENERAL SUMMARY

Experienced Cloud Service Manager is responsible to interpret a customer organization and describe the
transformation to the cloud. In addition to his technical skills, he will be primary responsible to understand
and optimize a process for transformation into the EMC cloud solution Vblock.
Alongside existing services he will be able to recognize opportunities of new services for the cloud
environment.
The Cloud Service Manager is working closely with Cloud Architect to design the service requirements on
base of the business reasons.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Vblock operations: How to manage daily Operations for Vblock Hardware , provisioning
- Is aware of Systems Management Integration Alerting and Monitoring of Vblock in / with
products
- Basic knowledge of security / network security / role- and authorization schemes
- Operational concepts of Backup & Recovery / Support in space of a cloud
- Supportprocess: VCE, customer

VMware vCloud Operations: How to manage daily Operations for VMware vCloud Suite and
automation process
- vCloud Managemet Suite, vCloud Director, vCenter
- Cloud provisioning with third Party Tools (CA, ...), datacenter automation, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS,
Desktop Virtualization, knowledge of Security / network security / role- and authorization
schemes, Backup/Restore, Support

Systems Management and Monitoring Framework Integration: how to integrate a Vblock
based Cloud Solution in Customer Silo-focused Systems Management Monitoring Solution for
incidents

BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE

- Deep method and architectural skills e.g. Scrum, TOGAF, GSM, Metaplan
- Experiences as responsible IT architect in large enterprise customer projects
- Large service solution oriented culture.
- Project Management knowledge
- ITIL Service Manager or Expert certified
- EMC Cloud Architect Specialist or Expert level
- Basic Network knowledge
- Experience in documentation
- Experience with different customer IT organization structures
