An International Renewable Energy Client is looking for a Construction Engineer to work within the Offshore Logistics team. The client is looking for this individual to provide support to the Offshore Construction/Logistics Manager in the delivery of the various engineering tasks required to secure the completion of the Logistics Packages' in respect to time, cost, safety, quality and interfaces.The client is flexible with the start date, and the latest they would look for an individual to start is 1st February 2014.
Responsibilities:
Manage the technical input from Package Contractors
Co-ordination of the development of scour, WTG and foundation logistic and installation concepts
Specification of risk assessments, method statements, lift plans and all needed operating instructions
Definition of necessary documentation for the certification and MWS process
Evaluation of deck layouts, sea fastenings and guide line concepts
Preparation of layouts of potential ports for storage and load out
Developing and improving logistical concepts together with potential suppliers
Managing and steering the installation across to the execution phase
Identification and co-ordination of internal and external interfaces
Ensuring the quality of work during WTG installation and foundation fabrication and installation conforms to QA and HSE procedures of the ECR Group
Working closely with Logistics Package Manager on the organisation, co-ordination and observation of the transport and installation planning of an Offshore Wind Farm
Job requirements:
At least 5 years' experience, preferably in maritime industry, and/or Offshore sector and/or wind energy
Relevant experiences in WTG and foundation storage/sea fastening, load in/out, transportation, offshore installation and upending procedures
Experienced in offshore piling and scour protection
Great knowledge of all special tools and lifting and transport devices
