In this position you will work in a global pharmaceutical research organisation to discover innovative medicines that treat diseases with high unmet medical need.
We are seeking a highly motivated software developer. The successful candiate must be self-directed and highly collaborative.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a key member of the NGS LIMS development and support team
- Work with lab users to define NGS LIMS & workflow requirements
- Design and implement LIMS/workflow execution support from sample accession thru NGS analysis
- Modify and update NGS LIMS & workflows based on protocol improvements or new requirements
- Work with analysis team to build NGS Metadata repository and Search Tool and integrate with NGS LIMS
-Follow agile practices for software version control, testing and release engineering
-Provide status updates in regular team meetings
Necessary Skills:
- Good programming skills, experienced in OO analysis and design
- Experience in automated laboratory systems and devices is a plus.
- Excellent time management, analytical, and listening skills.
- A degree in information technology, natural science or engineering or equivalent
- Used to work independently, in a responsible manner
- Used to work as service provider in a professional environment
- Professional experience in the Pharma industry is a plus
- Fluent German and English
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with laboratory informatics. (Commercial LIMS experience a plus)
- XML, JSON
- ESB, REST
- Experience with scientific computational packages a plus
- Experience working with scientific users.
- Experience developing web-based GUI.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, CLIA. GLP & 21 CFR Part
- Demonstrated experience in providing support for production software systems.
Working Period:
Start: 15.10.13 - 31.03.14 (6 months)
Pensum: 50%
