For our customer, an inter-governmental organization located in Darmstadt/Germany we are looking for a Configuration Management Consultant.
TASKS
- Planning, development and installation of Configuration Management database systems and tools to address Configuration Management needs via individual service requests
- Development of a generic Designed CM tool instance to manage Changes and Configuration Items
- Improvement of existing generic Built CM tool to manage Changes and Configuration Items
- Creation, modification, update and version tracking of Configuration Items like Documentation, H/W items, S/W items and keeping up to date the mapping between S/W and H/W items.
- Planning and preparation of above mentioned new CM tool instances
PROFILE
Knowledge and experience with the following is mandatory:
- University degree in Computer Science
- At least 3 years experience in the field of Configuration Management, including build, deployment and installation processes on large software-intensive high-availability operational systems.
- Configuration Management tools as Administrator (Serena Dimensions or Clearcase);
- Database programming/SQL (eg Oracle or Sybase);
- S/W development (in Java, C++, VB.NET, python, Perl or similar);
- Very good communication and team working skills
- Fluent in English, French knowledge would be an advantage.
Experience in the following shall be considered as an advantage:
- Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS;
- S/W development environments (eg Visual Studio);
- Source code control tools (CVS, SubVersion,)
