The Centre of Excellence for User eXperience Design has the vocation of creating an optimized userexperience for client software in the context of the IT Roadmap.
It intends to do so by:
defining the user interfaces concepts producing user interface design specifications applying a state-of-the-art user centred life cycle enabling the application of ergonomics standards
To fulfil its objectives, the UXD centre of excellence has put in place a central team that:
defines a user experience strategy and implementation plan; handles centralized activities (or elements common to several projects) in user research,user interface design, web information architecture, accessibility as well as visual design andinstructional documentation; coordinate activities with other instances of the client dealing directly or indirectly with userexperience; build up on internal knowledge and resources. The C of E UXD team is currently looking for a UX documentation technical writer.
Requirements
The candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of user interface design and usability/ergonomics problematic. This should be justified by several years of training and a proven experience in UI design and/or ergonomics. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of ISO 9241 orother international standards and be very aware of their contents and implications.
Previous experience in the patenting field will be considered as a serious asset. The candidate should display excellent English writing skills, a good ability to speak this language as well and the ability to speakanother client standard language (German or French) and preferably both of them. A good understanding on how to structure a flexible and efficient UX documentation is also required. At least 3 years of experience in user interface design and user research Working knowledge of ISO 9241 and WCAG 2.0 Previous experience with large UX documentation and visual styles (document managementand illustration skills) Team player skills Excellent English writing/speaking skills Knowledge of French and German (optional) Working knowledge of Sharepoint 2010
Work Description
The UX documentation technical writer will:
re-define UX documentation format and structure; collect documentation content from project UX team leaders and other coordinators; produce a new set of documents based on recent requirements to align with businessdocumentation check documents for formal consistency and structure; define conventions like keyboard shortcuts based on existing guidelines.
Deliverables:
General UX documentation available on different formats (web based and document based) The content should be created at the client but visible by clients partners working externally. The documentation should have 3 main user communities: UI developers, UX designers andothers (mostly managers). This may result in different navigation models and levels of details
