Network Engineer (m/f) in LAN and WAN environment (Local)Our client is currently looking for a Network Engineer (m/f) in LAN and WAN environment for a project in Görlitz or Siegen.
Task description:
* Create detailed physical / site specific designs for the site infrastructure based on the Building Block designs
* Procure and build site infrastructure
* Build and deploy Active Directory and workplace changes to enable Network Access Control and Guest Access building blocks
* Transform the sites in scope, through the deployment of new operational processes, implementation and integration of detailed designs
* Migrate the sites in scope to the new transformed LAN service
* Install & build locally the new LAN infrastructure according to Site Specific Design
* Test according to Test Strategy and Plan (creating test scripts from agreed test cases, documenting test results, raising defects and performing root cause analysis)
* Migrate users according to migration plan
* Operational acceptance according to agreed acceptance criteria
* Identifying technical risks
* Supporting effort estimation for project change controls
* Own and manage risks and issues as required
Skills:
* Experienced Site- or Network-Engineer (m/f) with a detailed understanding of LAN and WLAN technologies, and implementing and testing networks within a large Global network
* Preferably experience how to install, setup and load configurations on Juniper and/or Cisco LAN equipment such as Switches, Routers
* Experience in ExWireless Access Points and Firewall devices
Understanding of network principles and Network Authentication Methodologies (eg. 802.1x)
* Experience in testing functionality of newly installed network components according to a given test procedure, plan and schedule
* Familiar with complex network setups and experienced in working to build a network infrastructure in parallel to a productive network
* Juniper networking experience (JunOS) - Switches, Routers, Firewalls, desired but not essential
* Juniper or Cisco certification e.g JNCIA or Cisco CCNA appreciated but not mandatory
* Experience of Juniper NAC or authentication on Ethernet protocol (802.1X) desirable
* Experience with setup of Cisco Wireless Access Points
