The Renewable Energy client located in Northern Europe is looking for a Project Cost Controller to be responsible for operative project controlling and financial reporting within the international Offshore Wind Pre Construction department on an offshore wind farm project.The client is looking for this individual to be based either in Southern Sweden or Northern Germany; working full time in the office Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Commercial Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate, consistent and up-to-date financial project figures (on KPIs such as current budget, actual spend, accrued cost, forecast, cash flow projection etc.)
Perform budget analysis (eg plan/actual comparison, forecast of variable personnel cost) and budgeting for the project and its respective sub-projects
Establish the relevant project reports on time and with the required quality and accuracy
Apply and improve budget management processes for cross-country and cross-project accounting
Ensure transparent tracking of budget changes
Apply and develop controlling tools
Take part in regular technical meetings to ensure communication with all Engineering functions and Project Developers as needed
Ensure interface with Risk Management, Procurement and Accounting
Ensure that the project activities with regard to budget management comply with legal and company requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Degree in economics or management or engineering with strong economic background or other comparable degree
In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is appreciated in the same way
Strong analytical skills and ability to work under high time pressure
Excellent MS Excel skills required; knowledge of additional controlling tools an advantage
Excellent communication- and presentation-skills
Experience in interacting with colleagues in an international environment
Experience in Project Management and Project Controlling of large scale construction projects, ideally in Offshore Wind or other Energy related projects an advantage
Business fluency in English required; knowledge of another language (eg German, Swedish) are helpful
