Für unseren Kunden suchen wir ab sofort qualifizierte Unterstützung als Defect Manager (m/w)
Tasks to be performed:
- Maintain the ClearQuest defect database
- Identify and provide metrics/statistics to measure the defect arrivals & burndown
- Present these at management meetings
- Define and communicate defect targets for regular and bug-fix KP releases to the development teams
- Monitor the progress and take preventive actions if negative trends are seen
- Actively monitor incoming defects
- Evaluate and rate the severity of the defects together with the development teams
- Communicate incoming critical issues and actively drive their solution
- Collect the data and perform regular reporting on critical issues to management and customers
- Actively drive the solution of pending defects with the responsible developers
- Setup of meetings to drive the solution of defects that are ping-ponged between development teams
- Actively drive the validation of critical defects in bug fix releases with the KP validation team and the development teams
- Initiate meetings between validation teams and development teams to facilitate the understanding and fixing of the defects
- Regularly scrub the defect database and request updates on defects by the teams
- Own, maintain and develop the ASD defect management process
- Collect the requirements on defect management tools and facilitate their development and extension with ES
Skills required:
- Experience in C/C++ programming – ideally in a Linux and/or embedded environment
- Experience with Clear Quest defect management system or a comparable tool environment
- Optional: Technical knowledge of IVI systems and if not the willingness to learn and acquire the technical knowledge to understand the domain specific defects
- Very good communication and moderation skills to interact with customers, developers, and customer enabling teams
- Average presentation skills
- Willingness and authority to drive problems to a solution
- Feeling comfortable with "being a pain in the neck for developers"
