ORCA Solution AG based in Basel and Zurich offers their services in IT-Industry since 1987 within Banks, Insurances and many other branches. For our client we are searching with the open

external Project 809

a Desktop Supporter

Tasks:
• Provide Desktop support to trading floor/ middle office and back office functions.
• Provide I.T. break fix and I.T. request services as scoped in the GTIS Service Catalog.
• Provide those services within the SLAs defined in the GTIS Service Catalog
• Second level support (after USC) for MS Office suite of applications and Outlook, Avistar, Lync
• Blackberry troubleshooting and support
• Deploy workstations for Trade floor clients
• Escalation of issues/ problems to appropriate owners/ teams
• SNOW ticket queue monitoring and management
• MDS application support and troubleshooting
• Goods received process co-ordination
• Accurately book time into the BOW and TES systems
• Third party vendor management, overseeing IMAC deliveries
• Occasional out of hours and weekend work / Ad-Hoc local project related activities
• Participation in regional/global/local GTIS initiatives
• Contribute to non GTIS initiated projects (e.g. Lync, Wifi)
• Root cause analysis, attend bi-weekly global call with engineering.
• Remote support for Satellite office
• BCP inventory mgmt., maintenance and support (Isolation testing, Periodic readiness check)
• Site power down / up support activities
• Executive support out of hours
• Provide IT setup for large conference and event setup (variety of activities for on-site or off-site conferences & marketing events)

Skills:
• Bachelor degree in Technology, MSCE or equivalent higher education in I.T.
• ITIL foundation certification highly desirable
• Windows 7 / XP
• MS Office application suite
• Market Data Applications desirable (Reuters, Bloomberg)
• Various remote access solutions (i.e. Blackberry, Good, VPN, Citrix)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience in face to face I.T. desktop support, preferably in a large organization
• Experience supporting an Investment Bank highly desirable
• Client-focused and ability to empathize with clients’ needs and instill confidence that their issue will be dealt with efficiently and effectively
• German native or excellent, English fluent

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 3 months with option on extension
• Workload: 100%
• Location: Zurich
