Local Manager ADM&S Teams

Job Purpose

Manages the Application Development, Maintenance and Support teams on one location in order to let the functionality, the performance and the use of the application meet with the business demands of the client and service levels with the end-user departments. Enhances the performance regarding reliability, security, cost efficiency and flexibility.

Results and Core activities

Local IT Organization
Formulates, aligned with our clients IT and our clients local, organizational requirements for ADM&S teams on the location. Ensures the development and control of location specific IT business processes. Manages the relation with our clients IT HQ and our clients local Management.

Technical Application life cycle
Keeps track of technological and organizational developments relating to the application technology. Develops scenarios with the team for application development focused on reliability, flexibility and cost efficiency of production. Makes potential opportunities and threats visible. Organizes decisions making on life cycle management.

Annual department plan
Draws up an annual plan, in line with ADM&S policy, in order to enable control of the team results and to deliver a maximum contribution to the objectives of the business. Prioritizes and assigns the tasks of the department and translates them in operational activities. Estimates the needed resources and budget and plans the team activities.

Development, maintenance and support processes
Arranges all development, maintenance and support processes to guarantee the reliability and usability of the application. Ensures alignment of the processes with other teams and departments within our clients business. Implements and communicates processes within the team or with direct stakeholders.

Application performance
Makes agreements about the application performance with internal and external customers. Ensures that agreements are recorded in service level agreements and performance metrics are created. Monitors the reliability, flexibility and cost efficiency of the production of the application. Ensures the creation of solutions for system recovery, bugs or other application disruptions and/or creates them himself.

Application support
Ensures that systems are classified and system ownership is allocated. Organizes within the team that requests and problems from the operations are properly handled and that the answers or solutions are communicated and/or documented and/or acts on/solves requests and problems himself.

Feasibility advices
Analyses functional business demands and advices on the functional and technical feasibility. Estimates the effort and duration of the requested changes. Advises on technical SLA's with the business and suppliers. Elaborates functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

New releases, changes, patches
Makes agreements about with BD about work to be delivered regarding releases and changes. Ensures that solutions are delivered as agreed. Manages the process of functional design, technical design, construction of components, testing and acceptance of changes within the domain of application. Makes arrangements with IT operations and suppliers for the commissioning of new releases. Supervises the run and change of all projects concerning the application. Resolves problems and arranges requirement changes with stakeholders based on new insights.

Performance reports
Evaluates and adjusts the team performance and the performance of suppliers. Invents change possibilities and prioritizes needed improvements. Discusses changes with management, suppliers and the team.

Staff management
Coaches and develops the team, as such that the full talent potential is being utilized. Manages the performance management and development cycle with employees and provides them with feedback/forward information on individual performances including appraisals.

Your Expertise
- Knowledge of IT development & maintenance at a master's level.
- Methods and tools for application lifecycle, software engineering, test management and IT Service Management.
- Knowledge of European clearing businesses and partners, securities instruments, business processes.
- Participation in two of the following teams MICS, Integration Layer, Client Reporting, RTRM, Bancs, Packages, EMCF, HCH, Streetside connectivity & trade processing (TASC) and Post trade processing & regulatory reporting requires additional knowledge, according to the attachment to this job description.
- 6-10 years relevant working experience.
