WA Consultants has an urgent requirement for a suitably experienced senior C++ Software Engineer to work for our Client in central Berlin.
The project starts in July and would initially be for between 3-6 months.
This will be an "On-site" role so will suit someone already living or considering moving to Berlin.
In terms of suitable experience and qualifications applicants should have:
Proven proficiency in C++ and OO design in C++
Experience working with CI tools and TDD ie Jenkins, Continuum, Bamboo, etc.
Experience with working in Linux environments
Experience in overall software engineering processes, ie design, develop and documentation
Knowledge in one of the Scripting technologies is a must ie python, Perl, etc.
UI development tools/technologies is a major plus ie PHP, etc.
Knowledge about algorithms, data structures & API design experience
Experience with traffic content data and associated location referencing and traffic event coding systems such as TMC or Alert-C
You should also be self-motivated, well-organised, details-oriented and a strong team player
Very good communication skills, fluent in English both written and spoken
Experience with working in Agile/Scrum environments
Having either one or some of the following skills will be considered a plus
Familiarity with location based applications and paradigms is highly advantageous
Programming in Java
Back End development experience (web services)
Familiar with message queueing technologies such as AMQP or ActiveMQ
