8+ years equivalent work8 years combined experience in technical design, implementation and support of medium to large IT Data Center operations8 years' experience in all aspects of Data Networking
Demonstrable understanding TCP/IP Ethernet networks at L1,2,3 and 4, Physical and logical network design, implementation and operation
Basic understanding of Physical facilities resources and management (various HVAC, PDU, ATS, UPS, and DC Systems incl. rectifiers.
Basic understanding of industry power safety practices and procedures particularly Lock-Out/Tag-Out
Required Skills:
Storage Manufacturer certifications from EMC, Hitachi, HP, Other.
Automated configuration management using Puppet, Chef or similar
Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Xen, KVM
Extensive experience automating datacenter infrastructure deployments using modern Scripting languages (Python, Ruby) configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, or CfEngine) and command execution frameworks (Mcollective, or Capistrano) and automated imaging tools (PXE, Kickstart, Cobbler, Orchestra)
