Software Project Leader Automotive Industry
Location: Frankfurt
Duration: 3 Month Rolling (Long Term Project)
Rate: Up to euro;80 per hour
About the client:
- Tier 1 automotive supplier urgently requires a fluent-German speaking software leader for a long term project based near Frankfurt.
- The client is a globally known and highly prestigious supplier of parts and R&D services within the automotive industry.
- They are known as a company that offers interesting work, a strong growth environment, and significant responsibility to its engineers.
- From day one you will be tasking with leading this project, which involves the development of heads-up-display and instrumentation for the latest automobiles.
- You will be expected to manage all aspects of this project and ultimately ensure successful delivery to end customers.
Background and experience:
- Track record of running large scale and complex Embedded software projects through the entire software development life cycle
- Deep understanding of the automotive industry (minimum 4-5 years)
- Technical background in Embedded software, Real Time systems, low-level Microcontroller programming, C/C++ coding
- Strong internal drive and commitment, and will take personal responsibility for doing whatever it takes to deliver projects on time with the right quality
- Outstanding communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Fluent in German
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure a proper and timely execution of tasks associated with one or multiple projects, making sure that timelines are communicated and met, dependencies are visible, and managed accordingly.
- Take responsibility for, and communicate, the progress of the projects to all relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the quality of the development. Ensuring that the final delivery meets the project requirements and is fit for purpose by following good practices and test methodology throughout the development.
- Manage the delivery of the code to the final destination, ensuring that the builds are successfully and correctly delivered to the final target. You will ensure that the management of the code branches is optimized, and the quality of the final delivery branch is not compromised.
- Manage the backlog with the development team and decide priorities for triage sessions.
- Guide the project team through the individual phases of the project, according to the development process chosen. You will make sure that intermediate deliverables are presented according to the plan and at desired quality level.
