SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER - GERMANY - CONTRACT - 6 months - EUR40+ AN HOUR
My leading consultancy requires an excellent Senior Design Engineer to work in Germany for an initial 6 month contract paying EUR40+ an hour.
The successful candidate will know the Airbus design engineering processes, methods, and tools used within a specific aircraft program and apply that knowledge by creating or modifying complex engineering data utilizing a CAD system and supporting PLM applications with high quality and efficiency.
Key skills
- Create or modify moderate to highly complex drafting and modelling tasks of aircraft structures and/or systems from concept phase to final design for manufacturing utilizing CATIA V5, VPM, and PDMLink with high quality and efficiency.
- Create or modify technical documents such as: Bill of Material, Engineering Change Notes, Technical Memos, etc. within SAP and/or PDM applications.
- Interface engineering requirements with customers and suppliers with a professional attitude.
- Prepare change documents and modification paperwork using AIRBUS computer based toolsets (SAP, PRIMES, PDMLink, etc.).
- Provide technical guidance and direction to a small engineering design team in the design, production and maintenance phases of a project.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Speak the English language at a minimum Level 3 per the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale.
- Ability to perform and/or lead work activity tasks with little to no direction once sufficient training has occurred.
- Applied knowledge of drafting methods, techniques and procedures (GD&T, ASME, ANSI, ISO). Knowledge of Airbus drafting processes a plus.
- CATIA V5 experience is a must with average 10,000 hours of usage combined within multiple workbenches.
Experience in VPM and PDMLink is a strong preference.
