Job Title: Business Architecture Lead

Job Description
We are looking for candidates with experience in implementation of messaging platform (like SWIFT) in a large bank. German language fluency is not mandatory. Rates are flexible.
General:
Business Architects develop a market-driven, sustainable operational strategy and architecture through engagement with and input from the customer-facing divisions, external vendors, support and post-trade functions. The Business Architecture Lead leads the implementation of operational strategy and architecture through engagement with the customer-facing divisions, external vendors, support functions, and other post-trade functions. The Business Architecture Lead identifies expertise to support and drive the operating model and the end to end process (re)design, covering network, centre, and team, to support delivery of operational strategy. They will deliver the implementation of the change management programme integrating Investment with Strategy & Governance, HR, IT & Business Architecture and customer-facing divisions. The Business Architecture Lead establishes and maintains appropriate governance for changes to operational strategy (as appropriate).

Develop target state for all selected domains/applications as per the defined strategy framework phases
Tasks/Responsibilities
General:
Delivers the functional design, mission statement and resource plan for the construction and implementation of Operational Strategy
Leads delivery of operational strategy via implementation of well-documented business processes which are strategically aligned
Leads Business Infrastructure resources to deliver excellence; responsible for Operations Strategy and Architecture team performance and maintaining operational resource requirements.
Identifies subject matter expertise to maintain the operational architecture in line with both strategy & investment implementation, and product/proposition development.
Leads opportunities to leverage vendor offerings in the market to drive STP, reduce risk and cost per trade (CPT)
Delivers a consistent post- client trading message as related to regulators/politicians and vendors
Leads opportunities to optimise and reuse infrastructure across to drive a strategic architecture across asset class and trade-to-book
People Management
Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution
Acts as a role model for new employees, providing help and support to facilitate early integration and assimilation of their new environment
Supports tough people decisions to ensure people performance is aligned with organisation imperatives and needs. Addresses individual performance issues, where necessary, to drive for high performance
Project related:
Develop target state for all selected domains/applications as per the defined strategy framework phases
Functional decomposition of the AS-IS Financial Messaging and Regulatory Filtering Domain (service catalogue and business process model) to define the target state and strategy for the domain ensuring alignment to the client wide architectural blueprint/taxonomy.
Drill-down selected domains/applications to the necessary level expanding the existing domain definition & service catalogue eg Asset classes/products and their life cycle, connectivity versus process/data integration
Derive AS-IS business process/workflows for selected applications
Identify and discuss shared service opportunities with stakeholders
Manage onsite the activities for the functional decomposition of the AS-IS Financial Messaging and Regulatory Filtering Domain
Experience
Profound architectural knowledge and experience - preferable domain knowledge (SWIFT; Regulatory Filtering, OMGEO, Euro Clear Crest, Unavista, Target 2)
Profound knowledge of the applications within the financial messaging domain and a very good understanding of the products and business processes supported from these applications
Proven Operational management experience including optimisation of service propositions, business architecture and operational resources.
A broad background in Operations & Change Management, able to perform at a senior level and influence strategic decision-makers and functional stakeholders
Strong analytical skills, able to demonstrate flexibility regarding problem solving
Knowledge of, and experience using, process design and improvement tools/methodologies
Strong Stakeholder Management & communication skills, fluent in English (written/verbal)
Effective team leader and player, able to work in virtual global teams in a Matrix organization
Ability to work in fast paced environment & keep pace with the offering, technical innovation and market driven initiatives
Open minded, able to share information with, transfer knowledge and expertise to/from team members
Exposure (Recommended)
Good understanding and overview of cross domain applications.(applications outside the financial messaging domain)
