One of our client is looking for a TECHNICAL ARCHITECT (f/m).As Technical Architect, you will build up a close relationship and effective collaboration with our clients’ architects and with the technical teams (as well on a local, regional and global basis), with the goal to shape the clients Technical Architecture and to create and review solution designs for business needs.
In this role you will be involved in key processes:
1. In Pre-Sales engagements, you will be responsible for providing support for sales opportunities through the
-creation and presentation of the overall design for customer proposals including financial parameters
-support of the Client Office team in understanding specific business challenges and opportunities and by providing technical consultancy
2. In the full Project LifeCycle to
- create and review the solution design
- ensure design coherence and adopt the design due to change requests
- drive technical key decisions
- “drive” feasibility studies
The work will be done in a regional or global context and requires knowledge of different technical domains, with a broad outlook on gathering various technological components into a single coherent solution that meets the business needs of our customers.
The solutions will be developed in close collaboration with your colleagues in other departments within the technical divisions, based on both business and operational requirements.
The following knowledge and skills is considered to be essential:
• Broad knowledge and experience in the set-up of infrastructure solutions within at least one technical domain and general knowledge and understanding of one or more other domain (eCommerce & Middleware, Network, Distributed Systems, Databases, Collaboration).
• Good knowledge of local infrastructure and ideally about the usage of business applications.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills and customer-orientation.
• You feel confident when speaking in public and giving presentations, adapting your use of language and argumentation to the target group concerned (customers, technical teams, global community, etc.).
• Social-minded and capable to build up an effective and extensive relations network with colleagues and customers.
• We expect a minimum of three years proven practical experience in the IT world.
• Some flexibility with regard to working hours and travelling between the various sites (Brussels, Antwerp, Cologne) to support our customers.
Following knowledge and experience is an added bonus:
• You are an excellent negotiator and are able to guide differing opinions and convictions towards one direction.
• You have proven experience in leading “projects” and can achieve results methodically with the requisite degree of pragmatism.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Fluent active knowledge of English is essential, both spoken and written.
• Active knowledge of French or Dutch
• Knowledge of the second national language is highly desirable.
