To support a customer project, we are looking for a SW-Development Engineer for LTE Radio Communication Test, featuring the below stated skills and experience:Job description:
- Development of object-oriented software components incl. wireless communications protocols in
C++ for LTE Radio Communication Tester device including complete development cycle as:
- Requirement analysis
- Architecture and design specification
- Implementation of signaling procedures for LTE (Layer 3, RRC / NAS / S1) and respective
inter-RAT procedures to other technologies like WCDMA, GSM, CDMA2000 / EV-DO
- Integration, testing, and documentation
Qualification:
- Master in communications engineering or equivalent course of studies or
- Master in computer science or equivalent course of studies
Must have:
- At least 3 years industrial strength programming experience in C++ (knowledge about template
programming / STL, design patterns, and Boost C++ libraries are a plus)
- At least 3 years protocol implementation experience, including a solid understanding of the LTE
3GPP mobile communication standard / specifications, especially RRC/NAS/S1 (basic knowledge
of LTE Layer 2 and 1 is a plus)
- Experience in developing and maintaining complex software frameworks based on embedded
Windows / Linux (MS®Visual Studio)
- Good understanding of best practice software engineering processes, e.g. configuration
management (knowledge of IBM®ClearCase is a plus), testing and release cycles
- Strong communication and “team-player” skills to work with the local R&D team in Munich and UK
