Optical Automation & Control Consultant
Optical Networking giant is looking for an expert Automation and Control Engineer, ideally with previous experience from within Optics industry. This is a highly urgent position, with an ideal start date in the middle June.
Location: Stuttgart, Germany
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)
Rate: Competitive Daily Rate
Job Specification:
- Implement controlled fine and micro-mechanical positioning systems with extreme accuracy requirements
- Develop and evaluate overall mechatronic system concepts
- Perform model simulation of complex mechatronic systems
- Develop algorithms for dynamic decoupling controller
- Optimize controller prototypes in a rapid prototyping environment
- Develop test algorithms in Matlab
Skills & Experience:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics with a focus on Control Engineering
- Significant experience within the automation and control industry
- Optical/Optics experience is highly desirable
- Excellent working knowledge of control engineering and structural dynamics
- Understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and microsystems technology and beneficial
- Significant modelling experience with Matlab
- German language skills a bonus
