Our client, a global system integrator is looking for a Programme Manager/Op Co Lead for a role based in Dusseldorf, Germany

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare, Monitor and Control the Transition and Transformation Plans for multiple and simultaneous projects in Germany (Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Eschborn)
  • Co-ordinate with various teams (internal and external) to enable smooth transition activities
  • Understand the contract related terms, and contribute to the preparation of Scope of Work documents
  • Define roles and responsibilities and manage transition Subject Matter Experts
  • Ability to take the functional and non-functional requirements and propose solutions that will meet those requirements
  • Work with the design team to realise the architecture by providing suggestions on design options
  • Review and validate the design decisions taken by the design teams
  • Work with client architecture teams to;
  • validate the non-functional requirements
  • discuss and provide inputs on architectural options
  • Present the architecture and design to stakeholders as required
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations on progress to be delivered to stakeholders at regular client meetings
  • Working experience with at least one common SDLC method eg RUP, Velociq

Essential Skills are as follows:

  • English, and German Speaker (must be fluent speaking, writing and reading)
  • Should have handled Transition programmes previously, preferably in Telecoms industry
  • Knowledge of Telecom Networks, especially IP, MPLS domain
  • Project management experience and MS Project skills
  • Excellent Communication, Negotiation and Presentation Skills
  • Task management and Organisation skills
  • Min. 8 years' experience preferably gained in the telecom/IT industry
  • Project management training (Prince2)
  • Quality training

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Transmission networks
  • ITIL/eTom Certified
