Tätigkeit:
For one of our clients within the banking sector we require an experienced Consultant (m/f) with Program and Project Management Know-How. Goal is to deliver key operational excellence objective to reduce 2015 run rate by 5.1 mill Euros. This is dependent of the successful migration of 60 -80k users to virtual environment by end of 2014. The purpose of the RDH project is the global outsource of end user desktop provision from a physical to a virtual solution. Once complete, all end user desktop machines will be hosted remotely, on a vendor managed enterprise class infrastructure, and will be accessed using Citrix via a "thin client" component or individuals personal device using remote access. A thin client is a generic device that provides the interface (screen, keyboard, and mouse) between the end user and the remotely hosted computing platform. There is no intrinsic link between the thin client and the users virtual desktop machine, i.e. the virtual desktop can be accessed from any thin client in the Bank, i.e. regardless of location. The following are the key elements that are in-scope of the program: The solution is global, hence all locations are in scope (from an end user session provision perspective). The key locations where the RDH infrastructure will be hosted are: London, Frankfurt, New York, Singapore, Jersey, Shanghai, Mumbai, Tokyo, Sydney, Hong Kong. The RDH infrastructure may be installed in the Bank or Vendor Data Centres (DCs), or a mix. The final solution will be defined as part of contract signature. The hardware solution is to provide the end user computing platform only (CPU, memory, and storage) The virtual desktops will be provisioned to both internal and external end users, i.e. remote desktops (DOD, sDOD) Provision of all the hardware and management systems associated with the hardware infrastructure. The WAN links interconnecting the hosting location and bank (who provides will be dependent upon where the RDH infrastructure is located - vendor or bank DC). Integration with the bank systems that will act as the front-end for service requests. The vendor will provision the sessions, and provide the 2/3 level support of the RDH system. The tasks which have to be accomplished are as following: assist with planning the migration strategy with vendor and desktop transformation team, assist with migration of Low Complexity users from internal hosting platform to RDH hosted platform, assist with migration of Medium Complexity user on Physical machines to RDH hosted platform, physical machines will be replaced by Thin Client devices, assist with migration of High Complexity users on legacy remote platforms to RDH hosted platform, users will need to be moved onto secure remote desktops, engagement with the relevant provisioning teams to create firewall rules and user analysis to ensure correct solution is provided for each user, track and report on progress to the RDH program manager and to identify and track all issues and risk. Skill Type Notes: project analysts with Infrastructure (VDI), Virtual Machines (VM), remote Desktop Services (RDS), desktop environment (Hardware and Software), excellent data analytical skills, good communication skills, experience in tracking complex transition and migration plans and at least 2 years project management experience preferably in the desktop space The Projects starts on the 16th of June 2013 and ends on the 1st of December 2014.
