Our international operating client is currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Technician (m/f) for a long-term project in Munich, Germany.Environment:
Our client intends outsource operational and project task activities in the area IT infrastructure services. Due to applicable export regulations and internal security guidelines the services currently need to be executed by resident technician's onsite at the clients' site in Munich.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as key service delivery provider (m/f) for network availability and performance; reporting to IT Team Leader, Operations
- Work within the framework of established operating procedures and in close cooperation with internal and external support personnel to provide troubleshooting and maintenance of network systems and servers to assure operational availability
- Focus on both hardware and software aspects of infrastructure systems across one or more platforms to optimize service delivery
- Participate as a team member (m/f) on application, architecture, or technology projects as required; take responsibility for project tasks, make and meet commitments
- Manage and support all storage and backup devices (on and off site)
- Storage Resource Management: capacity and utilization analysis, event-management, storage provisioning
- Implement system upgrades, changes and improvements; implement Project share creation requests as per procedure
- Providing 3rd level support and Problem Management
- Follow all ITIL processes and policies relating to Request for Service, Change Management, Problem Management and Incident Management
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate (m/f) should have a broad knowledge of the clients' hardware and software standard: DELL, HP, CISCO, NETAPP/ NAS storage, DATA DOMAIN, Microsoft Windows W2003/W2008 Servers, SYMANTEC, Red Hat Enterprise Linux client & Server, BEYOND TRUST (former Likewise) and OpenText
- Experienced with:
- Network Service (WLAN, LAN, WAN, VPN)
- TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VLANS, VOIP, QoS, MSRP and related routed/routing protocols on a Local Area and Wide Area Network
- Cisco IOS technologies and hardware (CCNA or higher) and Voice services
- Data Storage, Backup and Recovery Service, and Continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery
