Projektbeschreibung:
In we are starting a project to virtualize the infrastructure provisioning of our global GRID computing environment with currently 6000+ server blades. Core of the project is a virtualization and automation design, which allows fast and flexible (template based) creation of
new instances, patching, etc. with minimal manual interaction. In this context we are offering the position of a VMware Senior Architect. The project team works in a global set up and the project language is English.
Project Details:
- Engineer blueprint / architecture for the global virtual infrastructure for GRID
- Development of stepped action project/plans for consolidation, standardization of VI
- Analysis of 3rd party SW for configuration management and automation
- Preparation of toll/solution decisions
- Development and implementation of solutions for automation and configuration management
Required skill set
- Expert / Certified ( VCDX – Data Center Virtualisation / VCAP – Data Center Design or comparable) in
architecture, engineering and sizing of virtual infrastructures based on VMware.
- Expert knowledge and several years’ experience with the following products vSphere (ESXi, vCenter,
vMotion etc.) and the relevant APIs
- Expert knowledge about automation of virtual infrastructures
- Good knowledge about vCloud Director, vCM and vCOPS
- Good knowledge of 3rd party provider landscape for automation, provisioning, monitoring, and
management of virtual infrastructures
- Language skills : German/English native/ fluent mandatory
