Our client is a new multinational Organisation and seeks to develop a cloud-hosted collaboration solution which will allow users and board members in various locations across the globe to collaborate and communicate through content (eg document) sharing, online forum and blogging, easy search and retrieval of information, schedule management and web conferencing.

THE GOALS

The main goals and objectives of engaging a SharePoint Development Expert are:

  • Assist with the design and solution architecture of a SharePoint collaboration site development, implementation and testing.
  • Assist in the evaluation of Office 365 and Azure hosting solutions.
  • Understand the users' requirements and design the solution of the architecture to deliver on these requirements.
  • Develop the collaboration platform to the standard expected by the client on usability, security, reliability, look and feel and corporate branding.
  • Assist the IS Consultant with resource definition and planning; such as estimating time effort required for development and how many developers, solution architects etc. are required for development projects.
  • Fully document and transfer knowledge and skills to internal staff to ensure that the client is self-sufficient in supporting the administration of the SharePoint applications.
  • Identify whether all functionalities and workflows can be realised by out of box functionalities.
  • Create and deploy installation packages.
  • Develop an architectural blueprint for the deployment of a SharePoint collaboration site covering development, testing and quality assurance.
  • Check and produce recommendations for and reports of the SharePoint technology infrastructure for deployment a collaboration platform on a cloud based hosting solution.
  • Develop an information architecture framework for the SharePoint related parts of the collaboration platform.
  • Develop an online forum and blogs which integrates clients' governance policy for collaborating on and sharing information.
  • Integrate SharePoint sites with Active Directory and the Exchange service to enable the use of email profiles and scheduling.
  • Develop online web form according to clients requirement.
  • Develop web parts according to clients requirements.
  • Propose a plan to transfer skill and knowledge to internal staff during the execution of the project delivery.
  • THE CONSULTANT

  • The SharePoint Developer must have experience in the architecture, design, development and deployment of SharePoint 2010 and 2013 sites.
  • The resource must have experience in SharePoint security administration and integration with Active Directory (AD), Forefront, Exchange and Outlook Web Access integration.
  • The resource must have experience of advance web part development for SharePoint sites.
  • The resource must have experience of document management system features and workflows.
  • The resource must experience with setting and configuring Web Services and InfoPath forms.
  • The resource must have solid experience of experience of Microsoft Office 2010.
  • The resource must have experience in sourcing integration of various data formats to the SharePoint environment.
  • The resource must have experience of HCI design and user interface branding to SharePoint look and feel.
  • The resource must have experience with SharePoint Feature framework.
  • The resource must have experience of development using Microsoft development languages including .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Visual Basic.
  • Good command of English, both orally and in written form.
  • The following skills are also highly desirable:

  • Experience of SharePoint administration.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure hosting would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of Windows PowerShell and third party workflow tool like Nintex and K2 Black Pearl.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience with creating design documents, specifications and test plans.
  • Experience with issue tracking and developments using Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS) or JIRA.
  • Knowledge of visual design principles and tools.
  • Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of business needs of a large decentralized intergovernmental organization.
  • INITIAL CONTRACT

    Initially 20 working days (as kind of probation, to be reviewed based on development scope).
