Our customer is looking for a Network Deployment Engineer in the area of post-sales delivery of Amdocs products, which includes installation, integration and training to customers.
Location: Bonn
Start: asap
Duration: 6 months +
Responsibilities:
• Install and configure Amdocs products at customer sites and remotely
• Integrate Amdocs products with 3rd party network elements, provisioning systems and billing systems
• Upgrade existing Amdocs products at customer sites and remotely
• Architect, manage and implement complex post-sale technical deployments
• Contribute to the ongoing development of internal best practices, team shared knowledge and any other deployment processes efficiencies
• Create and deliver hands-on technical training, and make formal technical product presentations to customers
Requirements:
• University degree in Computer Science or Engineering or relevant work experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the software, Internet or data communications industry
• Understanding of IP technologies such as DIAMETER, RADIUS and SOAP/XML
• Understanding of wireless and wireline technologies, specifically UMTS, GSM and GPRS
• Solid understanding of IP networking, and how to troubleshoot issues at the LAN, WAN, and packet level
• Understanding of network management and administration technologies and products such as SNMP metrics and traps configuration and analysis, HP OpenView, IBM Netcool, OpenNMS
• An understanding of network and application policy control PCRF and 3GPP-AAA, preferred
• Strong hands-on Linux and Unix experience
• Strong presentation skills and experience delivering technical training
• Excellent project management and scheduling skills
• Experience in writing, testing and executing method of procedure (MOP) documents
• Scripting and integration experience using shell and/or perl
