IT Support Specialist & Coordinator (2nd line) is required by Global Manufacturing Company. Please note candidates MUST speak Fluent German & English

Responsibilities

* IT Support Specialists provide customers with in-depth on-site and remote support for PC hardware, Servers, software, networking, and remote access.
* Delivering executive care support to persona-based global clients including but not limited to the following tasks:
* Coordinate and own the end-to-end resolution of issues either solving the problem independently or working with other 3rd party vendors.
* Installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading laptop hardware, and equipment blackberry, cell phones and remote access services while ensuring their optimal performance.
* Interface with our Supplier Partners, and other PMTIT/HITS staff to diagnose and resolve technical issues/problems.
* Coordinate proactive deployment of new software and hardware products;
* Provide expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching and new version installation.
* Act as a liaison and escalation point between corporate service functions and vendors to end user groups to ensure incidents and service requests are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
* Collaborate with server engineers, users and client managers in identifying requirements, specifications and project planning activities.
* Managing, performing and coordinating various infrastructure related projects as needed.
* Develop work plans for projects, set deadlines, and ensure the timely and effective completion of projects for overall customer satisfaction.
* Follow established protocols, procedures, and policies, and meet arranged service level agreements.

General Requirements:

* Infrastructure support including: PC hardware, printers, software, LAN/WAN networks and remote connectivity.
* Hands-on experience with desktops and laptops; PC hardware and software including new computer setup, images, software installation, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, as required.
* Strong network and connectivity troubleshooting skills; including security, Firewalls, and VPN remote access.
* Experience supporting Blackberry (or other devices) would big a big plus.
* Basic server knowledge and maintenance experience with backup/recovery, troubleshooting and configuration.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems; troubleshooting and support experience dealing with Windows 2000, XP, and 2007.
* Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2010 with Active Directory
* Advance Microsoft Exchange and other similar products
* Routers and routing protocols
* Firewalls and security concepts
* Backup software applications
* VMware and other virtualization applications
* SQL Server
* Monitoring software
* Remote support applications
* Telecommunications/VoIP
* Dell and HP Workstation/Server Hardware
* Patch Management
* Technical Helpdesk
* Experience providing applications and software support, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
It would be highly advantageous to have the following qualification

Dell Desktop and/or Laptop
Salesforce.com Certification
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Network+ Certification
Security+ Certification
