Für unseren Kunden im Bankenbereich suchen wir einen Senior Cognos Developer.Key Responsibility (Result) Areas
- Develop in an Agile team, building a prototype HR application combining Java, Cognos and Peoplesoft technologies.
- Provide advanced Cognos developmen skills to the team, ideally in a "T-shaped" skill profile, ie deep knowledge in the Cognos area as detailed below, but with broad general IT predigree paired with curiousity and appetite to work in cross technology approach. The Team already has experts for Java, Peoplesoft and Datawarehouse design.
- Explore to what extend the requirements can be met with out-of-the-box Cognos features
- Define solutions that augment Cognos via use of SDK, java script or other technologies
- Create technical design and develop functionality based on User Stories containing detailed user acceptance criteria
- Carry out unit and peer tests
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience in developing complex reports and functionality using Cognos BI tools, preferably including version 10.x
- Expert knowledge of Cognos GUI tools (studios)
- Worked in projects where the standard Cognos GUI tools (studios) could not meet all requirements
- Experience with Java-Script in the context of Cognos
- Experience with SDK and Framework Manager tools
- Must have proven experience in SQL and PL/SQL
- Must have experience with Oracle database and with Date Warehouses
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player, excited to work in a fast moving Agile team with opportunities to experiment to discover best way forward
- preferably, experience working within a HR IT deparment in a bank
Good command of written/verbal business englisch
