We are looking for a Windows Administrator to work at our multinational client in Munich.

Main Deliverables:

The service to be provided consists of assisting the team in the planning, implementation, maintenance and support of the Windows server infrastructure. The services also involve providing third line support for incident management and performing problem solving.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience in deploying and administering a Microsoft Windows Server 2003(R2) and 2008(R2) based server environment
  • Accustomed to Real Time analysis, monitoring and problem resolution of hardware and software components a Windows Server farm.
  • Experience administering Microsoft failover clustering and load balancing technologies (NLB) including supporting SAN attached Servers.
  • Review and deploy Windows critical updates, service packs, and software patches using a Microsoft WSUS infrastructure based on best practice security models.
  • Experience of deploying, configuring and maintaining both physical and virtual Windows machines based on Windows Deployment Services and a VMware infrastructure.
  • Experience in automating tasks with Powershell and VBScript
  • The ability to initiate and/or update technical documentation as part of their daily work.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written (it is required that all documentation be written in English) communication skills in English is essential.
  • The successful candidate will be able and willing to quickly learn the operational processes and procedures currently in place to support a mission critical production environment.
  • The ability to organise and structure their daily work independently while working alongside the others teams and providing regular reports to line management.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and team working skills and the ability to interact with multiple levels of personnel both within the organization and externally.
  • Collaborate with other team members and with external groups
  • Must pay strong attention to detail and quality.
