Proteus Europe operating as an employment business, is currently seeking a DVB QA Engineer for a client in Munich.
The QA Engineer carries out tests and evaluations of the Content Access Authority (CAS) product portfolio. In particular head-end systems and client systems have to be certified.
Responsibility and Duties
analyze and review system requirements;.
Prepare test plans
Perform all system tests for CAS and/or security project
Test and evaluate the system using the specified test procedure and initiate corrective action if required
Test all deliverables for professional work, including the product, installation of product, and user documentation for product
Document the test results in a test report
Develop, configure and maintain test harness and/or test equipment used for tests and certifications
Set up networked (IP) equipment for video content security tests in Windows and Linux.
Other duties may be assigned as needed by the department.
Skill Profile
Bachelor's degree in IT, electrical engineering, or computer science. Further professional certifications/professional growth achievements are a plus
Minimum 4 years experience in testing Client Server products
Tester-level proficiency in Linux and Windows
Strong knowledge of DVB and networking fundamentals. Knowledge of network principles and of TCP/UDP/IP technology required; previous experience testing video products is a plus.
Knowledge of test methods and tools
Computer programming knowledge (at least one Scripting language like Perl, ruby, etc.).
Excellent ability to work independently and in team

Fluent in spoken and written English and German
