VMware misalignment Project - Server operating system disc alignment
A Systems Engineer with VMware, Windows and Linux skills is required for a VMware misalignment project.
The project will involve shutting down the (VM) machines and running a process that will move the files to different locations. The machines will then be re-started and making sure the files can be found in the different locations. Experience working with 3rd party disc resizing tools will be of advantage.
There are several hundred machines that are affected and it is anticipated that 3 -4 machines per day can be copied and restored.
The work will be done on the basis of a proven procedure which is currently in fine tuning and will be in place upon commencement of the project.
