Job title: IT Systems Analyst

Location: Dusseldorf, Germany

Contract: 6 months initially

Our international client own and operate thousands of worldwide communications sites for the wireless and broadcast industries. Working in Dusseldorf, they have a vacancy for an IT Systems Analyst. Candidates MUST be bi-lingual with experience working internationally.

Reporting to the Business Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing complex system-level support of multi-user operating systems hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these systems.

Key duties:

- Analyse management needs regarding use of integrated data processing equipment or operations and processes.
- Investigate, plan, implement, test, and debug operating system software.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule investigations, feasibility studies and surveys, including economic evaluation of proposed and existing automatic data processing and machine applications.
- Design and implement integrated hardware and software computer and information systems to meet organisational requirements.
- Prepare on-line and hard copy documentation of systems and user applications.
- Provide instruction and training to users and other employees on day-to-day procedures.
- Participate in budget planning, implementation, and monitoring for purchase and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Serve as lead analyst in a design subgroup.
- Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security.
- Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
- Perform problem resolution and provide on-call support for computer/network systems.

- Extensive knowledge of systems analysis
- Records maintenance skills
- Ability to analyse operational requirements and assess data processing technology and capacity requirements
- Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software
- Ability to make financial evaluations and proposals regarding current and/or future hardware and software capabilities/requirements
- Ability to design, develop, and implement integrated hardware/software systems solutions to organisational requirements
- Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation and guides for users
- Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations
- Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and/or equipment
- Ability to provide a range of systems training and/or support activities for users
- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management
- Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise
- Ability to supervise and train assigned staff
- Ability to determine the nature of computer hardware and systems software problems, and to communicate technical guidance and information to users
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise
- Knowledge of SA copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software
- Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocol
