The Product Development Department (PD) of our client delivers international cross-organisational/cross-functional mobile data services projects. Within Product Development a small dedicated team of technical project managers provides project management services for the local implementation of complex international projects or fully manages purely German projects.

Among other service platforms, PD is responsible for life cycle managment of a business intelligence platform. The BI Platform comprises all elements of a classical reporting platform. Projects related to the platform are started frequently, usually with the scope of implementing customer driven change requests or integrating additional data sources. In order to cope with growing demand and increased complexity, the platform will undergo fundamental redesign.

The Technical Project Manager has to make sure, that the technical solution is delivered in scope, time, budget and quality, working with team members from all relevant functions: Marketing, Product Design, Solution Design, Procurement, Operations, Testing, Security, Planning, etc.
Projects are run based on the client´s Handbook and Product Introduction Process.
The project manager has to comply with a high project management standard and has to be familiar with methodologies like PRINCE2 or PMI.

The tasks of the roles we are looking for are:

- Professional technical project management: scoping, resourcing, driving, delivering.
- Supports creation of delivery process for individual projects based on the product platform.
- Creates and maintains defined project management artefacts (project plan, contact list, deliverable plan, budget plan, resource plan, risk register, org charts, change request log, decision log, action list, etc.)
- Proactively monitors execution of assigned tasks, work packages and action points to team members
- Ensures that project team members have access to up-to-date project information and documentation
- Ensures alignment with the stakeholders, regularly reports and, where necessary, escalates issues to the stakeholders.

- Managing of selected projects with exceptional complexity and business impact to time, cost and quality so that the delivery is in line with the business needs - Level +++
- Track record in using Prince 2 or similar project management methodologies. - Level +++
- Managing and influencing senior project stake-holders so that project scope and delivery is well defined - Level +++
- Strong knowledge of project management tool sets, preferable professional training in Project Management Methodology (PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2, etc.) - Level +++
- Sprachen: Deutsch +++

Soft skills required:

- high communication skills, enjoy interaction with people from the various functions
- high ability to deal with complex processes and responsibility split
- high self-management ability .
- 3 - 5 years experience in complex project and/or team management
- Professional appearance, team-oriented spirit
- Business and result orientation
- Excellent moderation and presentation capabilities
