BIOS Firmware Developer (UEFI, x86, AMIBIOS)
BIOS or UEFI firmware developer with x86 architecture and ideally AMIBIOS experience required for one of the world's most recognisable technology companies. This is an initial 6 month contract, with a rate between €50 to €70 per hour, and based in Augsburg, Germany.
Non German speakers are welcome to apply as this is an English speaking environment.
Skills & Experience
BIOS and/or UEFI
x86 architectures
AMIBIOS highly desirable
Hardware related programming (C, x86 Assembler)
Board level debugging
Beneficial - low level software: RTOS, firmware, device driver
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for development and maintenance of BIOS/UEFI firmware for Embedded computer platforms based on x86 architecture:
Design, implement and test of platform firmware (BIOS/UEFI) for x86 based computer products
Maintenance of existing firmware designs
Co-operation with hardware team on board bring-up
Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure inter-operability
Participate in design and code reviews
Investigate and evaluate new technologies
