For our customer, a global player in machinery and plant engineering, we are currently seeking for two Commercial Project Managers for locations in Paris and Alberta (Canada), starting January 2013.
Your task:
- Commercial project management of one or more of customers plant engineering projects.
- Coordination of commercial aspects of projects within a worldwide network
- Invoicing and cash management
- Customer relations and contract related correspondance
- Change orders and claims towards clients, vendors and subcontractors
- Handling of insurance claims
- Coordination of taxation and permanent establishments in foreign countries together with central tax dept.
- Protection of currency risks together with central treasury dept.
- Administartion of securities by export credit agencies together with central treasury dept.
Your skills:
Candidates should dispose of approx. 10 years experience in plant engineering preferably in petrochemical plants. Experience should cover commercial project management including contract administration, invoicing, administration of securities and letters of credit, claims and change orders, cash management, cost control and reporting to senior management.
The candidate must be a team worker capable of dealing with different national mentalities, on the side of clients as well as with subcontractors and vendors. The candidate must be capable of establishing the company's commercial position and he must be convincing in negotiations. Willingness for worldwide travel and delegations to abroad is required. The candidate must be able to work properly under stress and to achieve the customers targets even in difficult environments.
