For the Munich Airport, we are currently looking to recruit a Site Civil Engineer.Project description:
The consultant will work on the Personen Transport Systems (PTS) for the Munich airports project. The proposed PTS systems will utilize the third generation of APM technology, the * INNOVIA* APM 300.
Position description:
To co-ordinate site Civil engineering activities throughout the Munich/Frankfurt APM project from design interface with the client and sub-contractors through to installation and test and commissioning of the APM system at the airport. To ensure that Quality standards are met by supplier and installation sub-contractors.
Key accountabilities:
• Manage the Civil Engineering Interface between scope of works and that of the Civil contractor and its' Civil designers.
• Ensure that the Civil Engineering design meets the requirements in terms of the Alignment, Equipment Room Provision, Stations and Control Room.
• Co-ordinate the Civil works with the client and the sub contractors
• Ensure the Civil works are carried out to Bombardier's specification and meet the quality levels. The ability to ensure structural elements (built by others) meet the required tolerances.
Specialized knowledge required for this position:
• German Civil Construction methods and regulations
• Ideally working knowledge of BOStrab regulations.
• Knowledge of design processes and experience of installation works of station (platform doors), route alignment, power distribution, communications and support rooms. This would have been gained in either rail/ airports/ operational installations.
• Experience of concrete structures is essential.
• Ideally experience of simple steel construction.
• Site Experience (Installation, Testing and Commissioning). This is predominantly a site based role.
• Fluent in German and English language.
• Hold a Dipl.-Ing (or equivalent) and be certified as an Engineer.
