I am currently searching for a contractor with solid BO experience to work on a 12 months rolling contract based in Germany, This is for one of Europe's largest IT service providers
Description:
This job has two main roles:
1. Ongoing support and updating all kind of reports mainly based on Universe
2. Migration from BO version 5.18 to Version XI 3.1
Further description:
Responsible for the support and maintenance of the existing Business Objects
installation in Europe for HR Reporting.
Maintenance of the Universe.
Development of new reports.
Tuning and enhancements of existing reports.
User support for all Business Objects reports
Install and configure BOXI r3.1 environment on new infrastructure.
Provide guidance to the internal porting center team responsible for the migration of
the existing reports to BOXI r3.1
Implementation of BOXI and decommissioning of old BO environment.
Technical Skills (Must Have):
Solid knowledge of BO version 5.1.8 incl. ZABO and Supervisor, DeskI and WebI
Solid knowledge of BO XI v3.1.
Familiar with installation and setup of a BOXI r3.1 environment.
OS (UNIX, Linux, Windows) knowledge
Solid knowledge in the maintenance of a complex Business Objects UNIVERSE
Solid knowledge of SQL and Oracle
Familiar with creation and maintenance of Views and SQL-optimization
Familiar with Business Objects security setup and configuration
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
