For one of our clients we are looking for a Technical Architect - BMC Remedy ITSMMain Tasks and Required skills:
Telecom OSS Domain experience
Thorough understanding of BMC Remedy ITSM suite (7.x) and Atrium CMDB
Thorough understanding of BMC Remedy AR System technology (Forms and workflow objects etc)
• Understand current implementation of “Unified Trouble Ticketing System” (UTS) and its place in overall OSS landscape
• Develop understanding of customer’s “TO BE” end to end OSS architecture
• Identify what is realistic and what is not in the expected roadmap from an Architecture perspective and document accordingly
• Participation in End user workshops to not only understand their expectations but also to evangelize UTS as THE ticketing system
• Should be able to provide vision and drive project / development team from Technical / Architectural perspective
• Should be able to align budget/business needs (cost/timelines/quality/ROI) and technical goals - with clear understanding of what is feasible and what is viable and provide suggestion / recommendation accordingly.
• Participate in following:
o Design Reviews (high and low level)
o Provide expert inputs for design and implementation
o Approve Test Scenarios
o Approve Use Cases
• Implementation and institutionalization of Version Management (BMC Remedy has very limited version
Management features of its own. So, a Version Management process has to be carefully crafted so that we can follow version management without introducing significant overheads to the dev team)
• All the above has to be based on sound understanding of how ITSM apps work and best practices around customization of these apps
