Proteus Europe acting as an employment agency are currently recruiting for a Support Engineer for a 3+ month contract in Frankfurt, Germany. Our client are a leading IT services company in Belgium have been operating since 1992, serving clients in the telecommunications, banking and manufacturing sectors. This is an excellent opportunity not to be missed.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Windows Server and MS SQL Server operating knowledge
  • A good general technical understanding
  • Understanding of concepts like DR/Failover
  • German native
  • English fluently
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer and service quality focussed thinking
  • Open Text Management Server Project experience is a plus
  • Delivery Server Operating and Projects is a plus

Standard Projects:

  • 1st and 2nd Level Incident handling
  • Setup new projects based on project template
Scope:

The following tasks are in scope but can be dealt with in cooperation with the offshore team until they can be handled by the German resources directly. If support from the offshore team is required, resources may need to remain single point of contact for the requestor if German Language is required. Communication with the offshore team will be in English only.

oneLine and PWM CMS Projects:

  • 1st and 2nd Level Incident handling (pre-qualified by power users)
  • Minor enhancements (e. g. navigation changes)

Standard Projects:

  • 1st and 2nd Level Incident handling
  • Setup new projects based on project template

User administration

  • New/changed users
  • As part of Incident tickets

CMS Server operations

  • Incident handling (e. g. customer reports publishing issues, deployment issues, etc)
  • Support installation of new patches (Installation, testing). Following customer's change policy, this is required to be done outside local business hours.

Delivery Server operating

  • Analyse and solve server based 1st and 2nd Level incidents
  • Apply and test new patches and configuration changes

Webserver related (for managed hosting only)

  • Request Apache based redirects
  • Request Quota increase
