This position, based near Frankfurt in Germany, is for a Consultant with at least 3 years experience in gathering, defining and maintaining user and technical requirements for space based applications.
Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding Real Time environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures.
The Consultant will work in the client's Process Assurance and Management Support Division.
The key experience and attributes sought are:-
- At least 3 years experience in gathering, defining and maintaining user and technical requirements for space based applications
- Knowledge of requirements management processes and standards
- Experience in defining, setting up and using requirements management databases and supporting tools
- Experience working in requirements engineering teams
- Use of IBM Rational DOORS
- Knowledge of the DOORS Extension Language (DXL)
Candidates should possess a University degree or equivalent. Fluency in English is essential. This is a freelance contract assignment with an initial period of 2 years starting in January 2013.
