Proteus Europe acting as an employment agency is currently seeing a Senior HPC Application Support Manager for an 18+ month contract.
Our client which is one of the leading providers of IT services and products for the global marketplace including applications, infrastructure and business solutions, hardware and software are currently seeking a Senior HPC Application Support Manager to work on a contract basis anywhere in Europe after an initial 18 months in Saudi Arabia.

General profile
The main activity of the position will be:
- Advice and guidance to researchers for HPC application development, debugging, optimization and parallelization
- Operation supervisor of HPC including but not limited to end user use of HPC computer and production support related to HPC application use
- HPC production operation on behalf of end users for limited case
- HPC application training to researchers, post doc, university students
- Supervision of HPC application support engineers in the team
Technical skills required:
- Experience of numerical simulation application such as climate research, weather forecasting and aeronautics simulation
- Fortran, Open MP, MPI, C, C++
- Operating systems: Linux (and Windows)
Profile of the position:
- Numerical computation degree
- Fluent English
- Capacity to work in a highly international environment
- Capacity to drive projects
- Ability to work on a collaboration basis with customer and act as a trainer/coach for customer researcher teams
- 5 year experience minimum in application development and numerical model parallelization
- Experience with weather forecast codes will be a plus
