Quality Engineer for an inter-governmental organization in Darmstadt, Germany

For our customer, an inter-governmental organization located in Darmstadt/Germany we are looking for a Verification and Validation Engineer.

Candidates must have a passport of an EU member state or a valid work permit for Germany

TASKS

• Plan and implement verification and validation activities within ICT
• Plan and specify test approach and test cases, including documentation,
• Implement test plans, including execution of test scripts, as well as ad-hoc testing,
• Automate, run and execute performance tests,
• Record and later follow-up anomalies found during testing,
• Coach software and system engineers in verification and validation processes,
• Review the and Change Requests from verification and validation point of view,
• Review technical documentation from verification and validation point of view,
• Improve the verification and validation related working practices within ICT,
• Support the improvement of Business Processes,

PROFILE

The following skills are mandatory:

• 5 years of verification and validation experience in a MS Win environment
• Extensive software testing experience in Oracle WebCenter Content/UCM 11g implementations and customisations
• Experience in testing COTS and application implementations
• Experience in testing web based applications
• Knowledge of verification and validation related standards
• Experience in writing technical documentation using MS Office
• Experience in a structured, ISO 9001 certified environment
• Knowledge of PRINCE2 and ITIL
• Experience in configuring and using automated testing tools, including automated performance testing tools
• Knowledge of Bugzilla and JIRA

In addition, the following aspects shall be considered an advantage:

• A university degree in a relevant discipline or similar education/training
• Knowledge of Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, JConsole, Empirix
• Knowledge of SQL and Java
• Knowledge of Information Management Concepts, Enterprise Content Management
• Experience in soliciting user requirements
• Knowledge of virtualization systems and their use in verification and validation processes

The variety of the tasks requires a high degree of autonomy and because of the close interaction with customers and users of the IT environment, also requires good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
The working language for the position is English and therefore the consultant must be able to work effectively in this language. French knowledge is an advantage.
